The Lammermuir Hills

The Lammermuir Hills form a large natural barrier between East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. This is a large area offering many locations to explore and get away from it all.

Explore maps of the area and you will find standing stones, an Iron Age Hill Fort, castle ruins, and more.

The hills are known for their open expanse of moorland and heather.

Our first photographs give just a taster of the Lammermuir Hills. Expect to more of specific sites in the future.

Quaich – Of Earthly Joys Thou Art My Choice

Recently introduced to our range of Quaichs. This would make an ideal gift for the special person in your life.

Scottish Quaich - Of Earthly Joys

Scottish Quaich - Of Earthly Joys

The interlocking hearts at the centre of the quaich originate from the Luckenbooth jewellery shops of the 16th century. Located in the Royal Mile Luckenbooths were the first permanent jewellery shops in Edinburgh.

A few facts about Quaichs

Quaich (pronounced “quake”) originates from the Scottish Gaelic word cuach, meaning cup. The Quaich was inspired by low silver bowls with flat handles used in 17th Century England and Holland. Today they are used as gifts and ornaments. They are also traditionally used for toasting special occasions such as, the New Year, Burns night, and weddings, with a wee dram.

All of our Quaichs are based in traditional Celtic and Scottish designs. Some engraved with famous Robert Burns quotations. Click Here to see more of our range.
