Its halloween. That time of the year when we think of things that go bump in the night.

So how about spending the night here? Isolated in the hills outside of Edinburgh this historic site certainly has atmosphere.

This is Soutra Aisle. A hospital established in 1164.

Soutra Aisle is close to an ancient route running from the North to the Abbeys located in the borders. It was run by an Augustinian Order.

Located near the A68 Soutra Aisle is about 20-30 mins drive from Edinburgh.

Drive from Edinburgh on the A68. Continue through Pathhead. A few miles later you will see a sign to Soutra Aisle. Turn right onto the B6368.
